Volume 5, Issue 3: November 2025

Ooo la la! It’s time for the loveliest holiday of the year. What better way to get in the spirit than by listening to the sweetest love songs around? If you can’t get enough of all the candy and kisses, this playlist is for you.

  • Dedicated to my lovely Ave! You’re my reason for being, I love you to pieces.
  • One of my favorite songs, it’s also my most listened-to song of all time. So positive and cutesy, it makes me think of all the people I have ever loved in my life. It gives me giddiness, akin to the feeling of a school crush.
  • To all my friends, y’all give me a reason to wake up in the morning! Thank you for keeping me happy!
  • It’s easy for me to get stuck in a loop of not feeling much for a while. This song breaks it every time. Even if it’s making me cry.

Valentine’s Shmalentine’s… Who even cares? This playlist is for those who are sick of the lovey-dovey crap. Stomp on every heart decoration you see while blasting these songs!

  • This song is not just a heartbreak song, it’s a song that can apply to anyone who has really wronged you and you can feel the lyrics in your bones.
  • Extremely catchy anti-love song about not wanting to fall in love with someone because you know you’d just end up heartbroken.
  • The Cardigans nail light and sweet songs, but also do a kickass job at capturing desperation, which this track is full of. The lyrics tell the story of someone leaving a relationship, feeling controlled and objectified by their partner.
  • The song that got me into my favorite band of all time. Such a beautiful breakup song that I don’t even have the words for.
  • I used to listen to this song on the bus to my away basketball games. Basketball was my outlet for emotions that were negative and tried to take control of me. This song is about how people grieve, and that no matter how we feel or act, we are all united by that feeling. So it’s best to channel the negativity into something positive.
  • This is the quintessential anti-Valentine’s Day/break up song because it’s about triumphing and being in your own power beyond needing someone else, especially someone who did you wrong.
  • In the perspective of Cupid, who’s upset that no one seems to celebrate him or care about Valentine’s day.
  • SZA gets deep in this song to talk about insecurities, an ex-lover, and how she was left on Valentine’s Day. Such an amazing song, and it’s even better at max volume in the car with friends.
